Let's work together to make a difference in our own backyards!

Our first meeting took place on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Starbucks in Springfield.  There was a lot of idea exchange and everyone is taking initiative to put together information for the group to use in order to become an organized and efficient group.  We have members putting together lists of local politicians, environmental groups, etc. whom we can contact in furtherance of our cause.

Jaclyn formed this group and plans to gather information, plan our next meeting and define the purpose of our group and how we can put our varied experience and expertise to use in the most effective ways to make a difference right here in Delaware County.

Andrew is involved in the Advanced Placement Environmental Science Program at Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center, there is a link to Cobbs Creek's website on our "links" page. He has also given us information on the TreeVitalize Program which will take place at Ridley Creek State Park in November and is run by DCNR.  If you are interested in learning more, visit the "Calendar of Events" section of the website.  He will be providing us with more information on upcoming events which we can get involved in.

Richard has informed us of some local issues in Havertown and will post this information on the Delaware County Environmental Meetup Group website, there is a link to that website on the "links" page.

Ellen has created this website and has written our newsletter. She will be working with the others to gather information.

We will also be looking for ideas and topics for the monthly newsletter. If you have an idea or would be interested in writing an article, please let us know.  Webmaster
