We met in August and discussed numerous topics. One of our primary topics of discussion was what we could do to
raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting our local neighborhoods. We discussed contacting places in Upper
Darby where we might be able to hold an initial outreach program to encourage residents to get involved in protecting our
precious resources.
We want area residents to know that we have toxic waste sites right in our own backyards, so that they might join the
fight by getting involved, holding our politicians responsible and taking steps to improve our home towns.
We will continue to recruit new members and make contacts so that we can begin to truly make a difference. Please
join us at the next meeting in September 2005 - see the calendar of events for details and email
delcoenvironmental@yahoo.com for further information and directions.
